There are 3 types of makeup tones people can generally choose: warm, cool, and neutral. When the fall season hits, the most suitable shades for any makeup look are warm, yet cool and neutral tones are still always acceptable. After conducting research and using my own makeup knowledge and experience, I generated the top “fall” colors for eye shadows, blushes, lip liners, and lipsticks, and I am super excited to share them with you! Most of the brands that I will be discussing are cheaper, high end/quality brands that an average college student can afford.
Not many people know about the brand Makeup Geek, but before I delve into the meaty part of this post, it is my duty to explain the unbelievable pigmentation and quality of this affordable brand. I came across Makeup Geek eye shadows through my absolute favorite makeup guru and YouTuber Jaclyn Hill. I said to myself, “If Jaclyn uses these, maybe I should check them out,” and that’s exactly what I did. If you go to the website, you are able to take a look at each individual product/color and see it on pale and dark skin tones in order to see how these products would look prior to purchasing. That is something I admire about Makeup Geek. But when I actually received such items in the mail, I really did not understand the beauty, creaminess, pigmentation, and quality until I started using the products. For only $6 for each eye shadow pan (compared to MAC’s $10 or Anastasia Beverly Hill’s $12), Makeup Geek’s eye shadows honestly blow MAC’s out of the water. This brand also offers “foiled” eye shadows (they give that foiled appearance when applied), duo chrome, mattes, and many more finishes! I definitely recommend checking them out!
