If you’re not quite ready to fully embrace crazy patterns, I feel you. Start out with the classics and see what makes you comfortable. Swiss dot and ribbed tights are safe bets. Also, look into interesting proportions or placement. They are playful ways to experiment with your look without being too over the top. Check out this pair from Asos to see what I mean.
Luckily, whether on you are on board with the tights trend or just kind of curious, they are usually super affordable and easy to wear. Zara, Urban and Loft all carry a pretty good variety. Happy shopping!

Winter is coming and tights are back and better than ever. For real. If you are anything like me, you love tights because they allow you to stretch your warm weather wear well into the winter months. Throw them under your favorite dress, skirt, romper, or shorts you’re good to go. They are so versatile and the perfect base layer that lend a little bit of warmth and interest.
Solid black opaque tights are a wintertime staple, especially if you can find a pair lined with fleece, but don’t be afraid to branch out. Feel free to play around with different textures, colors and patterns especially if the rest of your outfit is more subdued. Tights can give your look the little touch of pizzazz you’re looking for. The trick however is to make sure your tights don’t look like an afterthought. Incorporate elements of your tights into your outfit or vice-versa to create a cohesive look.
