Black and White (top left): This classy, simple combo was very popular on and off the runway at New York Fashion Week this winter. The patterns and textures of these black and white pieces at the shows were very eye catching and made these standard outfits something new and interesting. Designers like Mara Hoffman contributed to this trend for the upcoming spring and fashion blogger Courtney Kerr was seen sporting the timeless blend of black and white while watching the show. This is an easy trend to incorporate into anyone’s style!
Gingham (top right): A twist on the plaid picnic tablecloth print, gingham was shown multiple times on the runway this season. Ready to wear pieces from Diane Von Furstenberg and pieces from Michael Kors showed that the fun 50s pattern was back in style. This trend is sure to add freshness to any outfit while keeping it sweet and girly.!
Flowing Florals and Prints (bottom): Not surprising that floral patterns were a trend for this coming season; even Miranda Priestly knew that in The Devil Wears Prada. Seen in Tommy Hilfiger’s show and pieces from Vera Wang and Rebecca Taylor, these loosely fit pieces show that you can be girly while also being comfortable in what you wear. Even new mom Blake Lively was seen wearing a flowy Marchesa parrot print skirt while watching the show with Anna Wintour.
